Role: Shared Data Warehouse (SDW) Mid-Tier Process Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Description:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and support of SDW mid-tier application running on mainframe.
- Monitor SDW performance and address issues proactively to minimize downtime.
- Manage bug fixes, patches, and updates to ensure applications remain secure and functional.
- Ensure seamless integration between SDW, MOCAS and Oracle DB.
- Manage middleware components, such as transaction processing systems (e.g., MQ Series) and data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to maintain data flow and system interoperability.
- Monitor application performance using tools and metrics to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Optimize application configurations and middleware settings to improve performance and scalability.
- Conduct regular health checks and audits of application environment.
- Lead resolution of incidents and service requests related to SDW.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Act as escalation point for unresolved issues and coordinate with other teams or vendors as needed.
- Manage changes to SDW mid-tier, including updates, enhancements, and configuration modifications.
- Ensure all changes are documented, tested, and approved before implementation.
- Maintain version control and configuration management to ensure consistency and traceability.
- Ensure SDW complies with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement security measures to protect applications and their data from unauthorized access or threats.
- Stay updated on emerging security risks and best practices to safeguard applications.
- Test and validate recovery procedures to ensure readiness for unexpected events.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure business continuity in case of application disruptions.
Required Minimum Experience:
- 10+ years of overall professional experience in IT or related field.
- Requires knowledge and expertise with the following: Application Maintenance and Support for Mid-Tier Systems; System Integration and Middleware Management; Performance Monitoring and Optimization; Incident Management and Troubleshooting; Change Management and Configuration Control; Troubleshooting and Incident Management; Documentation and Reporting; Capacity Planning and Scalability; Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
Required Clearance:
- Must possess IT-II security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
Certifications:
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority preferred.
- DoW Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II.
