Claudine Adams CEO of Bravura Information Technology Systems
Inc., and John Casner Executive Director of NMTC came together to celebrate the
academic accomplishments of four phenomenal young women in the Harford and
Cecil County school systems. The ladies who are all actively pursuing career
paths in science, technology, engineering, and or mathematics (STEM) were each
awarded $5,000 scholarships to go toward the advancement of furthering their
education.

Scholarships
are granted to students who have continued to show undoubting commitment and
leadership in school and in their community, so with only four ladies being
chosen out of 30 applicants, one can imagine how much of a positive impact
these ladies have had on their county.

Awardees
include Emma Klepitch and Sage Leone
who are both repeat honor roll students, Hannah
Yamagata
, an honoree of AAUW, a program that focuses on increasing
educational opportunities from women, and Vivienne
Auvil,
a student who’s maintained straight A’s across all courses of study!

As
an NMTC board member and the CEO of a STEM-driven company herself, Ms. Adams
says that she’s “happy to be able to help other ladies become top performers in
a male-dominated field.”
