Job Description:

Qualifications:

  • Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program.
  • Performs all functional duties independently.
  • May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
  • Supports analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, and scaling of data products across an enterprise.
  • Utilizes enterprise data platform capabilities to support analytics, automation, and decisions.
  • Supports configuration and use of Government-directed data platform capabilities to enable data analysis, monitoring, reporting, and automation.
  • Requires an M.A. or M.S. Degree in any field or major.
  • Must have 10+ years of general work experience in any field or industry.
  • Must hold a current, active Top-Secret clearance and have ability to obtain/maintain a TS SCI / TS SCI Caveats for duration of program.
  • Must be a current legal citizen of the United States.

Responsibilities:

Mission Assurance Analysis:

  • Provide Mission Analysis & Critical Asset Identification support to enable contract execution IAW DoDI 3020.45 and applicable AF guidance.
  • Identify, validate, govern, & maintain authoritative, data-driven understanding of mission-essential capabilities, critical systems, Task Critical Assets (TCAs), Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI), and their dependencies across enterprise.

Mission Assurance Data Ownership, Governance, and Enterprise Integration

  • Support Customer in executing role as AF steward for Task Critical Asset data, mission mapping products, & associated analytical artifacts; execute data governance activities in coordination with data platform enablement & workflow support activities.
  • Support Customer’s role as Air Force data owner for critical capability, TCA identification data, mission mapping products, & associated analytical outputs.
  • Establish & maintain M data governance processes, including data standards, definitions, quality controls, version management, & change coordination.
  • Ensure data products are structured to support interoperability & integration with Joint, DoW, & Combatant Command Mission Assurance systems / processes.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to deconflict data definitions, mission mapping approaches, & analytical assumptions.
  • Support controlled data access, sharing, & dissemination IAW Government direction, need-to-know principles, & applicable policy.
  • Ensure traceability between mission analysis, critical capability identification, mission mapping, & downstream risk management / assessment activities.

Mission Assurance Data Platform Enablement and Analytical Support:

  • Provide data platform enablement & analytical support to ensure data, models, & analytical products developed are usable, scalable, maintainable, & decision relevant.
  • Provide cross-cutting data workflow, analytics, & platform utilization support; execute data activities in direct support of mission analysis, assessment, risk management, monitoring, & governance activities.
  • Use Government-directed enterprise data platforms and services.
  • Support business process workflows executed for planning, coordination, governance, & decision-making; enable, sustain, & improve related workflow processes, coordination activities, & knowledge management practices implemented within Government-directed enterprise data platforms.
  • Support management / execution of Mission Assurance data projects within Government-directed enterprise data platforms; support analytical workflow enablement, sustainment, & scaling of data products, analytics, & workflows that enable Mission Assurance execution across enterprise, including workflows supporting coordination, governance cycles, reporting, task tracking, & internal business processes.
  • Perform data platform support within t enterprise data platform environment; requires proficiency in utilizing enterprise data platform capabilities to support analytics, automation, & decision support, consistent with capabilities available to other enterprise data platform users.

Enterprise Platform Coordination and Advocacy Support

  • Support Customer in interfacing with data stakeholders to advance Mission Assurance data objectives.
  • Support technical interface & coordination with enterprise data offices, platform owners, & governance bodies to align data needs with enterprise data capabilities.
  • Support technical interface with Joint & DoW data stakeholders to facilitate data alignment, analytical interoperability, & reuse of data products.
  • Support development of data use cases, technical requirements, & analytical concepts to inform enterprise data initiatives.
  • Support Customer in advocating for data requirements through established data governance & enterprise platform processes.

Mission Assurance Data Architecture Review and Evolution

  • Support Customer through initial / ongoing review, assessment, & evolution of data architecture to ensure data structures, models, & workflows are coherent, scalable, & aligned with Air Force priorities.
  • Provide architectural stewardship for data in support of Mission Analysis, Assessment Support, Risk Management, Monitoring, & Governance activities; ensure data products remain analytically sound, interoperable, & decision-relevant over time.

Initial Architecture Review and Recommendations

  • Conduct initial review of current data architecture used within Government-directed enterprise data platforms.
  • Assess existing data models, structures, ontologies, & analytical workflows.
  • Evaluate alignment with data guidance, architectural best practices, & enterprise data principles.
  • Review alignment with data policy, standards, & constructs, recognizing Customer requirements & priorities as primary.
  • Identify gaps, redundancies, inconsistencies, & technical debt affecting data usability / analytical effectiveness.
  • Develop recommendations to improve data coherence, scalability, analytical rigor, & support decision-making.
  • Deliver initial Data Architecture Assessment & Recommendations Report for Government review / direction.

Ongoing Architecture Stewardship and Evolution

  • Following Government review of initial architecture assessment, provide ongoing data architecture stewardship in support of Customer.
  • Ensure data workflows & analytical products developed remain consistent with approved architectural direction.
  • Support alignment of data architecture with emerging enterprise data guidance & initiatives.
  • Support engagement with Joint & DoW data stakeholders to promote interoperability & data reuse while preserving Customer priorities.
  • Provide architectural input & recommendations to support analytical workflow enablement, scaling, & sustainment of analytics, automation, & decision-support capabilities.
