Qualifications:
The Senior Data Analyst (Key) must have the following minimum qualifications:
- Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to analysis, design, and development related to data warehousing and integration capabilities.
- Experience with requirements developing definition and application designs in form of logical data models, data interface specifications, on-line query and report specifications, structured query language (SQL), database performance loading specifications, and data validation specifications.
- Experience with data warehouse development and design, data knowledge acquisition, legacy conversion specifications, and design of data structures/load specifications, and knowledge of Working Capital Fund and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), financial, and human resources systems methods and strategies for data warehousing.
- Determine better ways to coordinate and manage large organizations that require effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people by applying analytical methods from mathematics, science, and engineering.
- Support diverse issues such as top-level strategy, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance measurement, scheduling, design of production facilities and systems, supply chain management, pricing, transportation and distribution, and analysis of large databases.
- Gather information and select most appropriate analytical technique.
- Use any of several techniques, including simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing and other stochastic-process models, and analytic hierarchy process.
- Construct mathematical models that attempt to describe system being studied.
- Use models to assign values to different components and clarify relationships among them.
- Alter values to examine what may happen to system under different circumstances.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Data Analyst (Key) will perform the following functions, including, but not limited to:
- Provide analysis, design, development, and operations of ISs, business applications, and integrating capabilities; conduct special analyses and studies related to business capabilities.
- Integrate technical capabilities such as interfaces to standard systems and data feeds from source systems.
- Develop application and data designs in form of logical data models, data interface specifications, on-line query, and report specifications for ISs, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), business applications, and technical architecture support, database load specifications, data governance specifications, and data validation specifications; includes writing and analyzing SQL, development of web-based applications, applying analytical skills in DoD Working Capital Fund (WCF) and General Fund (GF) accounting and methods, and applying strategies for business intelligence and data warehousing.
- Enhance technical architectures by developing and integrating new system components and software/hardware technologies into ISs’ infrastructure
