Administrative Technician

Remote (Up to 10% travel)

Education/Certifications: Requires at minimum a technical or business certificate or equivalent training in administrative services, business operations, or related.

Years of Experience: 3 to 5 years’ progressively responsible administrative experience (supporting DoD or USG programs preferred)

Clearance Level & Investigation: Secret (U.S. Citizenship)

The Administrative Technician provides administrative and training management support to ensure effective execution of DoDD 8140/8570 Resident and Mobile Training requirements. This position supports program leadership and instructors by managing scheduling, student records, workload and funding data, TDY coordination,

and training system inputs (e.g., ATRRS, DTMS, LMS, SharePoint) in accordance with TRADOC and contract requirements. The role ensures accurate documentation, compliance, and operational continuity across all performance locations.

Qualifications:

The Administrative Technician must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess a SECRET clearance.
  • Requires, at minimum, a technical certificate, business certificate, or equivalent training in administrative services, business operations, or related field.
  • Must have minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience supporting DoD or Federal programs preferred.
  • Requires demonstrated ability to:
    • Compute funding requirements, workload data, and TDY travel costs.
    • Maintain student records and academic documentation in accordance with TRADOC Regulation 350-18.
    • Utilize Digital Training Management System (DTMS) or equivalent training management systems.
    • Use Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and knowledge management applications.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must have experience supporting classified and unclassified information handling requirements.
  • Requires strong organizational, recordkeeping, and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities:

The Administrative Technician will perform the following responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Maintain calendars, scheduling systems, administrative reports, and memorandums.
  • Provide administrative support during meetings and conferences.
  • Track and secure classified and unclassified data, information, and systems in accordance with security policies.
  • Prepare and track instructor packets and instructor evaluations.
  • Coordinate instructor scheduling and TDY logistics.
  • Track security clearance status of contractor personnel as required.
  • Coordinate IA Mobile Training Team requests, staff training, and conferences.
  • Maintain student attendance, academic records, and training statistics in accordance with TRADOC Regulation 350-18.
  • Input accurate data into DTMS (or successor system) and issue diplomas to eligible students.
  • Coordinate class print requirements through Government or commercial processes as required.
  • Support workload tracking and reporting requirements.
