Last Friday June 21st, Bravura played a key role in shaping the future of our youth by sponsoring the third annual N-STEP Career Expo to expose elementary – college students to academic information and summer/work study employment opportunities.
This year’s program focused on the STEM career fields of space exploration and environmental stability. During the event, over 15 businesses shared valuable information on topics such as space exploration, cybersecurity, IT opportunities, employment, college admissions, health, internships, and more. Attendees had the chance to learn about summer employment, internships, scholarships, and college admissions among other areas of interest from various vendors. Students received helpful information for summer and fall employment experiences, participated in computer science and job skills training, witnessed space exploration demonstrations, and interacted with aerospace and cybersecurity exhibits. The vendor exhibit hall was supported by a distinguished list of community partners, including Susquehanna Workforce Network, Harford County Health Department, APGFCU, Defense Interns, Rainey Day College Foundation, Inc., Cecil College, Maryland Army National Guard, and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, among others. Keynote Speaker Greg Anderson gave astronomy presentations in the Cosmic Adventures Mobile Planetarium. Additionally, students had the opportunity to take a guided walking tour of Harford Community College to learn more about its programs.
We are proud to give back to our community.
