Qualifications:
The Change Management Lead must maintain the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ I.T. experience in change configuration and change management.
- DoD 8570.01 M compliance for IAT Level II with an ITILv3 or ITILv4.
- Hold a Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree required – may substitute additional years of experience in lieu of advanced degree
- Additional 4 years of experience with Associate’s Degree
- Additional 8 years of experience with High School Diploma
- Must have sufficient CM expertise to perform the following required functions:
- Ensure CM process operated and maintained according to guidelines provided by process owner.
- Support and maintain new and existing schedules.
- Implement and recommend improvements to CM process, working methods, and tools.
- Conduct workshops and seminars to train supported customer personnel on proper methodology to maintain proactive CM program.
- Coordinate approved changes to Configuration Management Database (CMDB) structure including attributes and relationships.
- Produce and issue management reports from CMDB.
- Provide operations-related, technical advisory support to Configuration Control Board (CCB) process.
- Provide reports, statistics, and metrics of actions and decisions of Change Advisory Board (CAB).
- Provide support for CAB meetings, which includes meeting agenda development, attendee notification of meetings, entry of board-related data into appropriate databases, and identification and troubleshooting of problems related to CCB action items/issues.
- Process regular discrepancy reports.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in IT Change Management (ChM) Process (Change Management).
- Coordinate documentation and implementation of Tenant Change Proposals (TCP) with supported customer’s representatives (Change Management).
- Review and coordinate with Government’s E&I Commands in response to requests for information (RFI) (Change Management).
- Perform the following ChM functions:
- Facilitate meetings
- Obtain all necessary information and documentation to facilitate Requests for Change (RFC)
- Review, evaluate, prioritize, and prepare all RFC packages for evaluation
- Maintain change log, history, and documentation for all RFCs
- Maintain change schedule
- Validate RFC processing compliance with Customer ChM process
- Provide daily support and assistance to supported customer with regard to change status requirements, deadlines, and problems
- Document lessons learned and recommend areas for improvement within ChM process to Change Management Program Manager and Deputy
- Adhere to all communication, reporting, monitoring, and audit requirements from Change Management Program Manager and Deputy
- Develop and maintain technical requirements, specifications, and design documents for DoD- and Army-managed systems within CENTCOM AOR to support creation and sustainment of comprehensive and accurate CMDB (Configuration Management).
- Analyze technical impacts of software/hardware maintenance enhancements and/or modifications to system product Baselines (Configuration Management).
- Provide technical support to mitigate any potential impacts (Configuration Management).
- Be responsible for maintenance and tailoring of CM processes, working methods, and tools (Configuration Management).
- Provide CM support of all computer systems, networks, workstations, software development activity, performance tool development, distribution, and applications distribution (Configuration Management).
- Support Configuration Management Primary Services Deliverables.
- Manages efforts of Change and CM Support Services team to provide technical and engineering expertise in translation of functional requirements and design criteria.
