Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in the following areas: UC, Cisco Management System, Cisco Codec and other CMS technologies and the VSU/Gatekeeper.
  • Must possess IAT/M Level II Security Plus certification required before employment.
  • Must possess extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of AV systems, VI systems and UC systems, from design and layout of a conference room system: to complex troubleshooting and analysis regardless of the equipment vendor.
  • Security Clearance –TOP SECRET.
  • Must have knowledge of DISA DVS-G UC operations, scheduling, and troubleshooting; may also include additional methods other than traditional UC suites to include Global Video Services and Defense Collaboration Services from DISA as well as potential Unified Collaboration tools that may integrate with the existing UC system, i.e. Teams, etc.
  • Must be experienced in Cisco Equipment administration interfaces via web browser; operation of AMX touch-panels, and associated audio/video equipment; and repairing, replacing, modifying, and resolving UC and AV equipment deficiencies.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Audio amplification, capture, use and techniques; visual display; projectors, flat-screen TVs; Cisco CMS, integrated multimedia AV and UC systems, design implementation, operation, and support; video conferencing operation, systems, protocols, and standards; AV Videoconferencing Integration and VTC, Conference room operation, AV systems and operation; all aspects of video conferencing, from design and layout of a conference room system to complex troubleshooting and analysis regardless of the equipment vendor; UC and AV systems and equipment, equipment integration, operation, and compatibility, equipment trouble-shooting techniques, procedures, and testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop short and long-term IT plans by identifying specific technology solutions, technology refresh opportunities and recommendations to meet mission requirements.
  • Develop and manage Lifecycle Management Plan.
  • Apply agile methodologies to all changes, releases, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate fielding implementation schedules with IMO or affected parties.
  • Submit Requests for Change for all actions as defined per Change Management Policies.
  • Provide acceptance criteria and testing summary for GOCO equipment.
  • Perform user acceptance, performance, accessibility, security, and system testing.
  • Provide pre-deployment release notes, documentation, records, and artifacts for release update and archival in the change management repository.
  • Review problems and known errors identified during development/testing and collaborate with local divisions to determine solutions and disseminate to Customer.
  • Define release plans that consist of roll out plan, production support, roles, and responsibilities for each action listed.
  • Deploy approved changes, emergent upgrades, & enhancements of GFE, COTS, GOTS systems.
  • Provide resource support for system installation and integration, system performance.
  • Analyze, identify, and report all network associated problems.
  • Confirm future solution implementation meets compatibility/interoperability standards and maximizes network performance; plan, implement and validate compatibility, interoperability, and compliance of all evolving protocols.
  • Provide both local and remote site technical support to include pre-deployment assessment, system diagrams, topologies, technical documentation, and coordination of external support.
  • Evaluate impact of proposed changes on hardware, software, operations, and personnel; provide trade-off analysis of alternative designs.
  • Document all benchmarks, milestones, test results; provide implementation guidance documents.
  • Perform bandwidth, optimization, performance analysis & confirm captures documented.
  • Perform market research to identify emergent technologies and advancements; submit all findings for review and approval.
  • Utilize the automated government routing system, provide test plans for review and approval.
  • Develop test report outlining application overview, testing scope, items not tested, metrics for number of test cases passed/failed, number of defects identified, status and severity, type of testing performed, test environment and tools utilized, lessons learned and recommendations.
  • Perform QA planning and testing of all products prior to delivery.
  • Provide Fielding, Integration & Testing for systems on the Customer networks; includes planning, feasibility, and operational testing of systems configurations prior to installation, installation, relocation, and final configuration to ensure systems maintain functionality.
  • Diagnose and correct common hardware and software problems on all GFE; provide industry best practice to maintain and configure various collaboration unique solutions.
  • Verify hardware and software testing and integration complies with applicable government regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Serve as Lead to manage and operate UC infrastructure, VI and AV Support services in over 43 rooms at Ft. Liberty and ALT-SITE to include numerous desktop devices.
  • Provide UC/ AV support for briefings, ceremonies, for meetings, conferences, special events, etc.
  • Must have knowledge of audio systems, microphones, displays systems, and AV techniques.
  • Provide VI support for the HQ CATV system, requiring operational knowledge of VI equipment, and equipment function, capabilities, uses, and limitations.
  • Provide AV support for briefings, ceremonies, meetings, conferences, special events; must have knowledge of audio systems, microphones, displays systems, and AV techniques.
  • Provide AV support to HQ Commander/Deputy CG at other locations as required.
  • Support 5 conference rooms and 1 control room at Alt-Site during COOP, exercises, training, conferences, and other special events; provide UC support to HQ staff with the scheduling, preparation, facilitation, and operation of UC, coordinating with adjacent agencies to establish and maintain UC connectivity.
  • Administer CM, connectivity, and function to include troubleshooting UC related issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance of video cameras, microphones, projectors, and flat panel displays, touchscreens, Smart Boards, speakers, amplifiers, and other UC associated equipment.
  • Provide management with growth projections and scalability to meet future UC requirements.
  • Adhere to and enforce all relevant Army/Customer UC policies and procedures.
  • Provide services for the administration of internal UC endpoints, and Television distribution system.
  • Comply with IA and security directives for UC endpoint devices.
  • Facilitate, operate, and connect UC calls; provide personnel to support in both the conference room and control room for all CG, DCG, CoS, G3 and CSM UC calls; ensure all GO/SES/CSM calls established 1 hour prior to call; all other calls 30 minutes prior.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and accomplish UC calls per the UC SOP.
  • Provide personnel to support in both the conference room and control room for all CG, DCG, CoS, G3 and CSM UC, arriving no later than 30 minutes prior to event.
  • Maintain and manage UC scheduling system.
  • Recommend methods to improve UC operations.
  • Accomplish necessary requirements to access the DISN GVS UC Scheduling system (i.e., obtaining user-ID, password, System Access Authorization Request, etc.).
  • Adhere to and enforce all relevant DOD/Army/Customer UC policies and procedures.
  • Administer Cisco Management Systems: verify Operation, connectivity, and function to include troubleshooting UC related issues; provide AV Support for briefings, ceremonies, change of command, conferences, promotions, and senior leader special events; support includes equipment, set-up, rehearsals, operation of Audio, image display, video-camera documentation, tear-down.
  • Administer Online Conference Room Scheduling System: verify that conference room scheduling system which includes scheduling rooms, maintaining the system, upgrading the software provided by the manufacturer.
  • Microsoft Live Event: verify that live Event allows the broadcast of an event to 10,000 attendees; request, produce, and conduct Microsoft Live Events for events that exceed the recommended 1000 threshold for MS Teams events.
  • Television Service: perform Administration/Manager and System support of satellite television service ensure and monitor performance of satellite and over-the- air reception of televisions signals; provide support of signal transmission; maintain channel programing, adjust/calibrate/verify satellite television equipment operation, etc.
  • Coordinate with adjacent organizations to establish and maintain UC connectivity and provide UC support for scheduling, preparation, facilitation, and operation of UC.
