- Provide daily operation and maintenance of the Local Area Network (LAN) to include all network hardware components, workstations, and software utilizing the established help desk procedure.
- Manage the server environment for the Customer enclave and interact with the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) on issues as they arise.
- Distribute and maintain plans, instructions, training programs, and SOPs concerning Management Information Systems (MIS) to include security.
- Assist with the preparation and conduct training for devices as needed to support upgrades, requirements, and personnel changes; trainings conducted on VPN connection process, LAN peripherals and access when in processing.
- Serve as the liaison for communications with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) to assure integration of support into the Customer environment.
- Review and evaluate the security impact of system changes to include interfaces with other MIS.
- Serve as a member of the Customer Configuration Control Board (CCB).
- Provide support to the development, implementation, and analysis of Customer systems (e.g., web applications, Microsoft Access databases).
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation for Customer systems.
- Conduct security scans to ensure compliance with Government Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and report any issues to Customer management IAW prescribed procedures, regulations, and/or policies.
- Scan systems for compliance to security updates IAW the Government Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program.
- Provide support to the infrastructure at the Alternate Site and serve as the IM/IT point of contact for the alternate site; site location currently classified but located within a few hours of Fort Detrick; will eventually mirror set up at primary site.

- Work with developers on all efforts of application development and serve as the liaison between organizations and developers and provides guidance on work priorities.
- Create and maintain a master listing of proposed changes to databases, applications, and webpages under Customer purview and according to SOPs, regulations, policies, system change control charters.
- Distribute and maintain plans, instructions, training programs, and SOPs concerning MIS to include security.
- Develop, implement, utilize, support (maintenance), modify (improve), test, and troubleshoot (analyze system function/deficiency) Customer databases, applications, and webpages (e.g., Access database, SQL databases).
- Serve as the focal point for deployment, updates, access, training, and ongoing maintenance of Customer databases, applications, and webpages.
- Configure systems according to the STIGs and other security requirements.
- Develop appropriate documentation related to Customer systems.
- Ensure the daily operation/efficiency of Customer systems.
- Serve as liaison with the Network Enterprise Center (NEC).
- Some positions may be authorized for telework.
