- Responsible leading the integration of various complex enterprise level servers and systems to include Microsoft Azure Cloud environments and multiple subscriptions using Azure Virtual Desktop and other system tools.
- Monitor and improve the security of current and future Azure environments.
- Identify and optimize Manage, scan, update and administer servers and systems to ensure system integrity.
- Plan, design, and implement identified special technology projects.
- Oversee the evaluation of system performance and recommend improvements.
- Manage the preparation of technical and functional documentation for required systems.
- Coordinate the completion of Standard Operating Procedures for relevant servers and systems.
- Perform root cause analysis of complex server system problems and provide corrective action.
- Proactively monitor backups and server logs.
- Work through alerts raised by alert software for proactive fixing.
- Proactively monitor client updates.
- Must have 5-7 years’ experience with .NET, SQL Server, HP Records Manager, and other database management tools for server maintenance and upgrades.
- Maintain and update the government-owned and licensed ACTS application with its related applications to achieve IT support of business requirements in accordance with Army and DOD standards.
- Understand the ACTS 1.0 applications full functionality and document deviations from the ACTS user’s Manual to conduct maintenance and updates within the .NET framework and libraries.
- Evaluate ACTS 2.0 software against the supplied Information Technology Functional Requirements and prepare a report of the evaluation results and update, if necessary, based on government oversight of the application.
- Install maintenance features and updates to the ACTS applications code in the User Assessment Test (UAT) servers for user testing and acceptance prior implementation in the production servers. Provide status monthly or by event.
- Utilize and maintain a separate server for testing and de-conflicting maintenance and updates requirements before installing them in the UAT or production servers.
- Maintain the ACTS application and data backup and replication for IT Continuity of Operations (COOP) with minimal disruption to users’ production. Maintain and update all servers ensuring DoD and Army standards are met.
- Modify and maintain a configuration management plan (CMP) and report CM status monthly.
- Maintain a test environment for testing system patches and updates required to maintain information technology functionality and Cyber Security compliance, and maintenance required to ensure continued mission support without disturbance to production environment. T
- Apply technology updates to maintain operational performance, including upgrades to the virtual environment to maintain adequate redundancy, resource pool, and available storage to meet production requirements. Report status and changes, or by event, depending on severity and urgency.
- Support and maintain the infrastructure to meet availability and performance requirements – system requirement is for a 98% operational readiness rating during a 40-hour work week.
- Maintain Cyber Security and System Vulnerability Compliance in accordance with US Army Network Command (NETCOM), US Army and Customer policies. Provide status in monthly report, or by event.
- Create and maintain a test environment for testing updates and patches to software without disturbance to production environment. Report status monthly.
- Take over the current architecture of ACTS and ACTS Online functionality and capabilities by applying current technology of the .NET framework, MS SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, HP RECORDS MANAGER, Altasoft, VMware, Visual Studio, Data Dynamics Active. Ensure all ACTS processes comply with cloud system provider service level agreement and any follow-on service or security agreements.
- Keep Online application accessibility at 98% during a 40-hour work week.
- Ensure that maintenance applications for ACTS are completed and tested prior to delivery for acceptance testing and Install approved ACTS maintenance applications.
- Update ACTS Training Manual and Online User Guides semi-annually to reflect system updates for each software maintenance. Create additional training plans for ACTS 2.0 as needed based on changing work requirements.
- Manage all system maintenance in accordance with the defined Software Maintenance Processes.
- Update Online User Guide quarterly – ACTS Maintenance.
- Provide ACTS maintenance release briefing semi-annually.
- Complete HP RECORDS MANAGER Application updates and document images maintenance based on manufacturer and security requirements.
- Monthly – Review and verification of reports by division managers during their monthly meetings.
