Job Description

The SharePoint Administrator serves as the Local Site Collection Manager for 13 sites with an estimated 700K hits per year with over 20K unique viewers. These sites contain information for students, conference attendees, and visiting guests, supporting management of schoolhouse operations to include student throughput, event management, billeting and general facility management, personnel management, content management, collaboration forums, and document tracking. The SharePoint Administrator has historically processed an average of 35 content change requests per month, managed 10 major site permission adjustments per month, and developed 3- 5 new custom lists or pages per quarter. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Perform all technical site management and content administration for Customer’s Army 365 SharePoint environment. 
  • Utilize permissions and capabilities of Local Site Collection Administrator (LSCA) to execute responsibilities, ensuring SharePoint environment fully operational and available to all users.  
  • Requires expertise to manage and integrate solutions using Microsoft (MS) OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, MS Teams, Power Apps, Lists, MS Planner, Power Automate, Visio, Stream, and Power BI.  
  • Manage user permissions; approve system access requests within 24 hours of receipt or send to SharePoint Project Page (SPP) for decision. 
  • Responsible for data security and compliance.  
  • Redesign SharePoint sites or pages to meet Customer requirements; deploy designs within 48 work hours of posting to SPP. 
  • Deliver quarterly SharePoint Content Strategy Report to Customer with recommendations for development, implementation, and documentation of SharePoint content; complete implementation work formally assigned as tasks on designated SPP within 48 work hours of assignment. 
  • Administer and manage overall content of SharePoint daily; make timely and accurate changes to information to support understanding of programs and new initiatives. 
  • Deliver monthly Student Reach-back Effectiveness Report containing usage statistics. 
  • Execute approved requests for content creation, modification, or removal submitted on SPP; update task status on SPP to “Completed.” 
  • Respond within 24 hours to related tickets on helpdesk system; follow up with customers within 48 hours of completion to ensure trouble/issue ticket resolved and complete tickets within scheduled time.
