Job Description:
The Draftsman – Senior is responsible for preparing various drawings that communicate engineering ideas, designs, and information in support of engineering functions directly supporting DoD Enterprise infrastructure and infrastructure IT goals and projects. Drawings consist of parts and assemblies including sectional profiles, irregular or reverse curves, hidden lines, and small or intricate details. This role requires experience in current conventional computer-aided design drafting techniques and application programs. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide AV support for graphic artistry/design and engravings (estimated 400+ per year).
- Provide AV production, duplication, advertisements, posters, and design, including (but not limited to) two-dimensional static displays, brochures, videos, flyers, programs, banners, engravings, and training aids (e.g. window clings, wall wraps, posters, flyers, brochures/pamphlets, printed cards, and banners).
- Maintain and operate AV projectors, production switcher, sound, lighting, and live streaming cameras for large-scale events as requested in Customer ticketing system.
- Resolve user problems through helpdesk tickets or calls to helpdesk.
- Respond within 24 hours to relevant trouble/issue tickets within Customer helpdesk system; follow up with customers within 48 hours of completion to ensure trouble/issue ticket has been resolved and complete tickets within scheduled time.
- Process tickets when received.
- Advise Customer of potential risks that may have impact on customer base and operating environment.
- Keep current with trends, best practices, and technology shifts relative to area of responsibility to ensure Customer stays current.
