Cyber Security (CS) Technician / System Admin

Job Description:

  • Provide continuous monitoring of the of the Citrix environment, to detect unauthorized activity and report suspected activities to Government as soon as the unauthorized activity is detected.
  • Conduct risk assessments (quarterly and whenever new technologies are introduced), document the results, and maintain IT Security Plans, Tenant Security Plan (on SIPRNet), TEMPEST Countermeasure Review (TCR) and Protected Distribution Systems (PDS) technical review for Customer’s environment in accordance with the DoD IT security standards.
  • Manage, integrate, distribute, and support the hardware and software needed by Customer to use the Common Access Card (CAC) to access the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and the CAC infrastructure for security and data services in the classified and unclassified, sustaining base environment.
  • Identify, patch, repair, and report vulnerabilities in Network Servers, print devices, workstations, and software products using information services and take immediate action of applying software patches as available from software vendors.
  • Serve as User Account manager ensuring Customer conforms to DoD policies for account management utilizing NIPR and SIPR network.
  • Track user Information Assurance training status in Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) and provide monthly user compliance report to the COR and Customer leadership.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Cyber security technology and DoD policies, Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and recommend cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as the technical lead on all cyber security inspections such as the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI), Department of the Army (DA) Inspector General (IG) inspection, or Staff Assistance Visit (SAV) from local Network Enterprise Center (NEC) or the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC).
  • Develop cyber security training plans and packages to facilitate cyber security training or events for Customer, which may include requirements for new user training and annual refresher training or cyber security events. Develop training materials based upon local policies that might not otherwise be covered in regulatory requirements. Ensure Cyber Security user training requirements are met and has the authority to deny user’s network access who does not meet mandatory requirements set forth by DoD, the Army or by local authorities.

Years of Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of experience in DoD Information Assurance and Cybersecurity enforcement, auditing/inspections, vulnerability and threat identification and remediation, CS policy recommendations, physical security, and patch management for both servers and desktop systems, and incident response. General understanding of Cisco ISE, RMF/eMASS.
  • 2+ years in using and managing profiles in the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS).
  • Some experience with Cisco ISE and eMASS.
  • CISSP certification preferred

Education/Certifications: IAM II; Associate degree or equivalent; CISSP certification preferred
