Computer Equipment Repairer

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, identify, and resolve hardware failures and software problems for end users, and coordinate the delivery, setup, installation, configuration, and testing of all Information Technology/Information System equipment.
  • Load applicable software, install various components, and replace or repair all Government-owned ADP equipment as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with industry best practices and equipment manufacturer recommendations.
  • Augment Government Information Assurance Division personnel in applying patches and software updates where needed to ensure compliance with the Army Security Policy.
  • Establish and maintain a maintenance program to ensure all preventative services are performed before wear and tear, dirt, or other conditions can lead to a hardware failure.
  • Repair or replace equipment as needed.
  • Maintain stock of common repair items.
  • Seek repair-or-replace decisions from the Government as needed.
  • Provide end-user technical support for the factory-floor applications and LMP-connected hardware.
  • Ensure computers are properly configured with specialty applications and perform live and remote-desktop troubleshooting to isolate the cause of user-reported problems.
  • Trace and resolve hardware and connectivity issues related to printers and data acquisition equipment.
  • Assist users with online Employee-Self-Service time entry.
  • Support IT Asset Management Services.
  • Ensure appropriate network administration personnel are notified of new equipment issuances and old equipment turn-ins.
  • Must possess the following certifications: ¬†Security+; Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) with concentration in: Windows 10 Configuration, Windows Server Virtualization Configuration, Windows Server 2016 Applications Infrastructure Configuration, Windows Server 2016 Network Infrastructure Configuration, or Windows Server 2016 Active Directory Configuration
