Job Description:
The Applications Programmer – Senior will serve as the Lead Programmer and SharePoint Designer for the Customer’s Army 365 SharePoint Sites. This role requires knowledge and utilization of the following software: Workflow Definition Language (WDL), JSON Parser, C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell. On average, the Senior Applications Programmer is responsible for 2-3 major development projects per quarter (e.g., creating a new custom Power App, designing a complex automated workflow with Power Automate). This role also provides sustaining support and bug fixes for approximately 5-10 existing custom applications per month. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform lead programming and SharePoint design tasks for Customer’s Army 365 environment.
- Provide software development, programming support, and collaboration tools.
- Responsible for delivering software components that are fully interoperable with existing and concurrently developed system applications.
- Validate solutions before deployment and provide documentation demonstrating that product integrates and functions correctly with all other system components.
- Conduct required redesigns of Customer SharePoint applications; deploy designs within 48 work hours of project posting on SharePoint Project Page (SPP).
- Manage data that support operations at sites, including administration of lists that support students, billets, classrooms, budget, personnel, training, and property management.
- Deliver semi-annual SharePoint List Optimization Report to Government with recommendations for modification, maintenance, and upgrade of SharePoint lists; complete implementation of approved recommendations within 48 work hours of receipt; modify storage structure and correlation between SharePoint lists when tasks posted to SPP.
- Respond within 24 hours to related tickets through SharePoint helpdesk system; follow up with customers within 48 hours of completion to ensure trouble/issue ticket resolved and complete tickets within scheduled time.
