To provide Operations and Sustainment (O&B3S) support to include Aerostat Operators/User-Level Maintainers, sustainment, logistics support, and engineering and integration support for aerostat systems in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
These systems provide integrated persistent surveillance, detection capabilities, and Full Motion Video (FMV) dissemination to Tactical Operation Centers (TOC). They integrate different sensors, some of which are located on its airborne aerostat, to detect small arms fires and Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) activity near airfields, fixed-base encampments, forward operating locations, and other facilities in support of rapid reaction security forces in the area of operation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures safety is the first priority. Responsible for implementing a safety program at the operating site that encourages a work environment of zero accident and injuries. Provides leadership to promote and foster a team culture consistent with company core values. Manages inbound and outbound personnel to and from the site to include lodging assignments. Works with local leadership to ensure adequate lodging, sustenance, and security. Performs Logistics support for all functions of the Aerostats.
Understands the Aerostats status and inventory reporting systems. Reports daily Aerostat, equipment and personnel status. Reviews and approves Travel Expense forms. Adheres to Company policy and recommends improvements. Follows procedures and provides the necessary leadership and supervision to ensure all operations are in compliance with policy, plans, procedures, and work instructions. Generates “all hands” meetings to ensure all personnel are kept informed of announcements, policy updates, procedural changes, and other significant information. Ensures the day to day operations of the site are effectively and efficiently implemented, coordinated, and conducted in compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
Promotes training and provides training opportunities for employees. Monitors all logistics activity to ensure parts and equipment are available to work not-mission capable (NMC) equipment. Validates manpower at the site is balanced with authorized billets. Monitors and approves employee hourly time records. Completes Employee Performance Reviews and conducts mentoring feedback sessions. Helps develop and then ensures that Site Budgets are followed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School or GED and 1 year of qualified experience or 3 years of qualified experience in lieu of degree.
Deployment Requirements:
Candidate must be willing to work and live in U.S. Military Bases. Past military experience highly desirable. Overseas work in austere environment will be compensated including hardship, hazardous differentials and bonus pay. U.S. DOD SECRET security clearance is required. Candidate must possess a valid US drivers license and US passport. Candidate must meet all physical, medical and other requirements for overseas deployment in accordance with current DOD regulations. This position may require TDY or deployment support; reassignment from one U.S. Military Base to another may be required based on the needs of the contract.
